Al Pacino and Barry Levinson Teaming Up for Philip Roth's 'The Humbling'

Because nothing creates a bond quite like assisted suicide, Al Pacino and director Barry Levinson will be reuniting for the upcoming adaptation of Philip Roth's latest novel, 'The Humbling.' After working together for the first time last year on HBO's 'You Don't Know Jack,' in which Pacino played Dr. Jack Kevorkian, this will be their second collaboration; their third effort, 'Gotti: Three Generations,' will cover the Gotti crime family.

Written by Buck Henry, Michael Zebede and Levinson, 'The Humbling' stars Pacino as a veteran stage actor who goes into a depression as he begins to lose his talent and his career declines. In an effort to get his life together, he moves to a rural farmhouse in upstate New York to hone is craft while striking up an affair with a much younger woman.
