It's Martin Luther King day all across the U.S., and while kids (and even adults) may relish having the day off from school or work, it's important to remember the inspirational man whom we honor today.
Dr. Martin Luther King King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968), had a dream -- that we would live in a land free of racial discrimination -- and he fought to see that dream come true not with violence or anger, but with empassioned speeches, sermons and social activism. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 in recognition of his work, and became the youngest person ever to win that prestigious honor.
Dr. King died too soon, assssinated in Memphis at 39 years old. Many today have never heard him speak; but the documentary 'Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - Man of Peace in Time of War' offers us a rare glimpse of a TV interview with the legendary civil rights figure, as well as interviews with figures such as Jesse Jackson and Colin Powell.
